Yesterday we were privileged to receive a cheque for £6000 from Stephanie, Barry and Kieran Murphy for our Rainbow Room. Barry ran the Bundoran 10 miles on 4th March and we are forever grateful that his family held our Rainbow Room at the heart of his run! The Rainbow Room is our Nurture Room. In St. Mary’s we recognise that our children all learn and grow as individuals. We feel our Rainbow Room offers every child the opportunity to gain the most from their educational journey by simply understanding and caring. We recognise and understand that some children need help socially, emotionally, and behaviourally to help them learn. Nurture is embedded across our school and all children and indeed adults reap the benefits that it offers. In our Rainbow Room children grow and shine in small groups and there is specialised enjoyment and fun added to not only their education but their lives and that of their families. We cannot highlight enough how valuable our Rainbow Room is and although, despite continuous efforts we remain unfunded the enrichment it gives the children can never be expressed in words or monetary value. It is simply the lifeline that many children need to allow them to glow brightly and be part of a rich educational journey where there are no limits to how far they can excel.
