A first for St. Mary’s today! Today we very successfully got our school, the community and beyond on the roads and the forest for our 1km and 5km run/walk! We strive as a team in our school but there’s one man took the lead! Thank you to the expertise of Mr Donnelly who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring his love of running to the children firstly and now way beyond! Thank-you Mr Donnelly! The whole school team rolled up their sleeves and gave their all to ensure everyone was looked after under your guidance and we all thank you! There’s always a team making everything happen and we are always enriched by the community that surrounds us. To our SPONSORS, we ask and you give, you epitomise community, Thank-you, To The Friends of St. Mary’s who are always feeding us, to The Plunkett’s who are always offering an endless supply of help and alongside our stewards kept everyone safe on the roads, to The Hub, a facility second to none that we are forever blessed with, to Karen Anderson for the many photos to follow and Stephen Woods for drone coverage. To all the families, runners, walkers and the many children who put the trainers on, Thank-you. Many donations were also made and to each one of you we thank-you from our hearts! To Herbie McDaid, Northwest Chip Timing, (Times to follow) Thank-you, we know you were working not only today but behind the scenes over the last number of weeks with Mr Donnelly ensuring all was perfect on the day and to Fr. Moore, our Chair of Governors for his endless enthusiasm for always wanting to be a part of it and starting the races today!
