This week P6 were involved in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) workshop ran by Gerard Hughes from a charitable organisation called Sentinus. The main topic of the day was sustainability and what Pomeroy might look like in the future. We discussed renewable energy sources, electric cars and how the world might be different in the future and how we could have a positive impact on the environment. We made self propelling wind turbines, used solar panels to make windmills and made electric cars. We will use what we learned on the day to create models and a presentation to present in Holy Trinity College next week.
