On Wednesday we got awful news that Winnie the Witch had a terrible accident on her way from Carrickmore to Pomeroy!! She sent an email to tell P1 that her broomstick was destroyed in the accident and that she would love it if they could create a magic potion to help fix her broomstick in time for Halloween night!! The children drew out a plan of what they would like to put into their potion and today we went out to the mud kitchen to make the potions. There was lots of creativity and discussion about what the potions were going to do to Winnie’s broomstick!!!!The excitement did not stop there…..we discovered that Winnie had destroyed our fire pit area and we found a poor little dead bird who we think fell of Winnie’s broomstick!!The children also created pumpkin printings with apples, dug up some skeleton bones, found spooky ingredients in the herb garden and water tray and also created tunnel ramps to roll conkers down!!Such a fun morning in the outdoor garden!!🧙♀️🎃
