P7 Class of 2023
Our journey began 10 months ago,
little did I know you had so much to show.
But a life in St. Mary’s began way back in September 2016, so many memories made in between.
Many teachers and staff filled your years with fun,
it’s hard to believe your time in St. Mary’s is done.
Some left us, some joined on the way,
each one important, none more so than the 29 here today.
There’s been tears, there’s been fears over the years,
At home during Covid and all the online stuff, we know missing your friends was really tough.
Growing up takes us all,
remember you started this journey when you were small.
Look at you now filled with courage, strength and confidence galore,
ready to face a bigger world, ready to explore.
Take the friends that you’ve made and don’t be afraid,
never give up and always believe, the world awaits you, you’ve so much to achieve.
Memories are rich of what you’ve gave us all,
last week was mighty when you won the football!
A team of girls and a team of boys,
I don’t think the school ever made more noise.
2 cups lifted on the very same day,
our Plunketts on show, what a display!
And that’s not all as you know,
the singers and dancers, what a show!
The Lion King will live on for days to come,
You all should be proud of the stars you’ve become.
Hold on to the memories of the trips that we’ve had,
Delphi for one will make you feel glad.
As I call your names, I want you to know from our hearts,
how proud we are as your time here departs.
Take nurture, take love, as you leave us today,
because in our hearts, you’ll always stay.
The door never closes, there is no end,
because here in St. Mary’s, you’ll always be our friend.
