Today Primary 1 and Primary 7 went to the forest to learn together. Primary 1 are learning about spring and the new lambs being born and Primary 7 are studying Warhorse and have a great fondness for Joey the horse in the story. Together they took on the roles of engineers, builders and farmers and made homes for the animals! They worked together in teams to design and build their homes. They communicated excellently, gave each other different jobs, helped each other, talked about and evaluated what was going well and what they needed to do to improve. They were all creative and problem solved together to find the best solution. There was a great sense of leadership, energy, enthusiasm and pride in their work. The children were so aware of the forest floor and how the different foliage could be used to do different jobs! The animals are lucky to have such a great team and we hope some animals in the forest can find shelter in the new homes.
