During our weight activities, P.3. were investigating non-standard units. The children were trying out different items to try and balance an orange. The children learned when the scales were balanced, and which objects were heavier and lighter. P.3 children quickly realised that it took different amounts of cubes/ bears/ dominoes etc to balance the same orange. This led to our discussion about how to solve this problem! We looked at kilograms and grams. Well done P.3!
