Looking Forward Everyone!
Friday again everyone! Its hard to believe the end of the School year is almost upon us! What a year it has been! I think we will all remember 2019-2020! I have no doubt it will be archived in the Annals of History and talked about for years to come in many homes! The time has come and parents you will be delighted to know that all classes will cease working from the normal timetable during the last two weeks of term! The staff, having met again on Tuesday feel now is the time to move away from the traditional Literacy and Numeracy tasks and spend the next while working on End of Term Tasks! Each teacher will correspond with their class next week inviting them to complete a variety of activities which we hope to display on our Website during the last week of term! PE as we all know plays a big part in our school calendar in the month of June! Our final Challenge requires participation in a variety of Sports Day activities! We would like your children to enjoy the Virtual Sports and send in their videos as normal so as scores can be calculated for the various teams! A folder of work entitled ‘End of Term Tasks’ has also been created by the staff for the children to select fun activities to carry out. The staff would like at this point pay tribute to you our parents who have supported the school unequivocally through these difficult times! Your children are all a credit to you and of course to themselves! Your children are at the heart of everything we do and together we will ensure that no stone will be left unturned to ensure the safety of the children and staff on our return in the Autumn Term! To our P7 class we would like you to enjoy the last two weeks of term! We fully appreciate that this is not the way you wanted to finish your Primary School but on the brighter side of things the plans being put in place for you, will not only put smiles on your faces and perhaps a tear or two in your mums’ and dads’ eyes but hopefully build lasting happy memories for you of your journey through St Mary’s Primary School Pomeroy! Enjoy the closing weeks of term everyone!
