In Primary 4 we have been learn all about celebrations in World Around Us and have also finished off the topic of money in our numeracy.
Primary 4 were given a task to plan a Christmas dinner using the ASDA website with a budget of £30. They had to include a starter, main course and dessert for a family of 4. This caused a heavy debate and the children became very aware of the price of different foods and how it did not fit into their budget.
The children thoroughly enjoyed this activity, many groups had to agree on what was more important for them. It turned out that in most groups there was no turkey on the menu this Christmas but plenty of Shloer and desserts for everyone!! 🎄🎅🏼
